HOW TO USE YOUR MALA

STEP 1

Wear your Mala for 30 days to establish a bond between you and your crystals. It is recommended that you remove your Mala before bed, you can keep it beside your bedside or under your pillow.

If you have an elastic thread Mala roll it on and off. Do not pull to remove, as you may snap the thread.

STEP 2

For the next 30 days, find a spot to sit down comfortably either first thing when you wake up or before you go to sleep (or lay down in Shavasana pose if sitting doesn’t work for you). Imagine a thread is connected from your base chakra and is pulling you upright through your crown chakra.

STEP 3

Take a few deep breaths to help settle your energy and connect yourself with your intention. Count up to 4 breaths for your inhales and exhales.

STEP 4

Aloud or quietly say to yourself, 10 things that you are grateful for.

STEP 5

Send love and light to 3 people (this can include you) by imagining a beam of golden light traveling to that person.

STEP 6

Use your personal mantra that was provided with your Mala by chanting aloud or quietly to yourself.

STEP 7

Hold your Tassion Mala in your right hand, draped between your middle and index fingers. Starting at the guru bead, or a bead you choose to start with. Use your thumb to count each bead going in a counter clockwise position, pulling it toward you as you recite your mantra. Do this for each bead, until you once again reach the guru bead/ starting point.

STEP 8

If you want to continue the meditation, instead of passing over the guru bead, simply reverse direction (clockwise) and begin again. Alternate counting back and forth as many times as you need to start believing the truth of your mantra.

STEP 9

Do this for the first 30 days. Then use as necessary.

What happens if my Mala breaks:

When a Mala breaks it has been said that your intention has been fulfilled. It is unfortunate, but if you do take good care and use it gently your Mala should last you. If it does break and you cannot find where the beads have landed, trust that the energy was needed elsewhere.

How do I care for my Mala:

Your Mala needs to recharge its self and it loves to do so in sunlight, moonlight, sage, sound such as chimes and singing bowl, essential oils and Reiki energy. You should charge them once a week or more or less pending on how much you wear your Mala.
